The former Roosevelt School, designed by John Calvin Stevens in 1927, has been converted into condominium units that take advantage of the high ceilings and tall windows of the historic building. The developer bought the derelict building from the City of South Portland intending to stabilize the historic exterior while completely modernizing the interior. There are 9 units in the 1927 building and 10 in a 3-story addition on the west side. The property, which is the center of a residential neighborhood, has been kept open, with a public walkway through the grounds.
