Casco Northern Bank

(now Key Bank)

North Windham, Maine     1988

This branch is one of a series of eight built around the state in the mid-1980s, modeled on a prototype in Yarmouth. Tapered shingled columns, a prominent entry gable, and classic detailing associate these buildings with regional Maine architecture and traditional bank buildings. An oversized side gable integrates the drive-through with the rest of the building. Siding materials and architectural features were altered slightly to fit the contexts of other communities.
