A new 21,800-s.f. medical office building, shared by University Health and the Veterans Administration, abuts a 3,000-s.f. Colonial Revival house. In addition to exam and procedure rooms, labs, and support spaces, the University's section includes conference areas and resident/intern work areas that support UNE's active teaching program. By visually integrating the old house with the new building, the design strives for patient-oriented spaces without an institutional feel.
