Victoria Mansion Carriage House
Portland, Maine 1984In 1984, PDT was looking for an office, and the Victoria Society could not afford to restore the Carriage House. The stable floor was collapsing, the original shutter doors were beyond repair, and the exterior stucco had peeled away from the brick. PDT leased the building and initiated a complete exterior restoration and interior renovation. The restored stucco was scored in the original Italianate block pattern to match the mansion, and the doors and belvedere were completely rebuilt.
