Poland, Maine    

In voting to build their own middle and high schools, the Town of Poland, which had always tuitioned its students to other towns, took on the design of a building and a new institution. PDT and the Maine Center for Educational Services led public sessions involving community members and district administrators to arrive at a vision statement and concepts of organization. The two populations are separated for most of the day, though they share art, music, library, and auditorium facilities.
