Learningsmith
Nationwide 2001In three years, the PDT/TPDA team opened 67 stores in 19 states. Since Learningsmith was sold in 1999, PDT has redesigned several of those spaces for the Discovery Channel, which bought many of the stores. The prototype featured innovative casework, eye-catching signage, and rich multi-layered architecture. The store design was a complex mix of left brain-right brain architecture with Cartesian geometry squaring off against organic free-form shapes and spaces.
