Auburn, ME

Affordable housing occupies a portion of the fourth floor, with a mix of studio, 1-bedroom-, and 2-bedroom units.

This new 4-story apartment building will introduce 41 market rate apartments and a small retail space just down the street from a new public transportation terminal.

Site planning creates a courtyard with drop-offs at either end of the entry plaza and on-site parking adjacent to the building.

Building amenities, including a community lobby with kitchenette and mailboxes, a waste/recycling room, a telemedicine room, and bike storage, share the ground floor with two retail units.

This 4-story mixed-use project will put residents in the middle of all that walkable Auburn has to offer. The L-shaped former Dillingham Funeral Home site is near Court Street, across from the historic Auburn Public Library, across Spring Street from a grocery store, with easy access to the Auburn Riverwalk and public bus lines. This high-performance building with many energy efficient features will enhance resident comfort and lower operating costs for Auburn Housing and provide affordable housing to residents in the heart of Auburn.
